From the standpoint of an engineer, this heralds an exciting era of opportunities.”

Joel has had a lifelong interest in automobiles, combined with a desire to overcome what he saw as fundamental flaws in conventional vehicle design. Following his interest in fast cars, he was a designer, team leader and competition driver in the world-beating UWA Motorsport Team. As an undergraduate student, he taught undergraduate classes in technical and freehand drawing as well as Computer Aided Design. He completed his studies with majors in Mechanical Engineering and Psychology and achieved a high distinction for his thesis on race car aerodynamics.

Joel works as a design engineer at Arbortech, one of Australia's most innovative companies.

Richard has a diverse mix of interests ranging from music and film production to electrical and computer engineering design. Awarded one of seven $10,000 national prizes for his report on "The future of IT in industry", and a key member of the award winning Inspiya company which received several local awards for business, community and environmental aclaim as well as the national award for most environmental young acheivers company in 2005.

Richard has had over two years engineering experience working for Western Power. In this time he has worked on load forecasting techniques, cable studies, project management, power quality issues in networks, commissioning and design. He has also produced several documentaries, music film clips and professional educational DVD's.
